BOROUGH OF MOUNT UNION: Beginning on August 10th – 12th, 2020 5:00 am to 5:00 pm, there will be road closures for the Resurfacing project

Borough of East Petersburg recently issued the following announcement.

Beginning on August 10th – 12th, 2020 5:00 am to 5:00 pm, there will be road closures for the Resurfacing project

Beginning on August 10th – August 12th, 2020 5:00 am to 5:00 pm the following roads will be CLOSED with NO PARKING on the street for the duration of the street’s Resurfacing project.  Lake Drive, Rainbow Drive, Brown Circle, Speckled Drive, Debra Avenue, Leebel Road, Reeves Road, Center Street, Caroline Drive, Sundra Circle, Valley Road, Fairfax Circle, Eaton Circle, Hollow Drive South of Graystone, Broad Street off of Hollow Drive To Valley Road, Tank Road, and Lemon Street Broad Street to Tank Road.  The project will consist of a chip Seal followed by a Fog Sealing of the roadway.  Any cars remaining on the street between this time are subject to being towed at the owners’ expense.

On approximately August 12th the first phase of Resurfacing will be complete.  LOCAL Access to residents’ homes will be allowed but NO PARKING on the street will be permitted from 5:00 am to 5:00 pm during the duration of paving.

The Chip seal will then sit for a short period of time. The roadway will be closed for the final fog seal application to be applied a few weeks later.  Road closure for the second application has not been determined to date, however; NO PARKING signs will be posted a few business days prior to the second application with dates and times.

The street Resurfacing Fog seal project should be completed by

September 30 ,2020  weather permitting.
