FOIA Request to Fulton County Election Department Regarding Pre-Election Voting Machine Test Reports on October 30, 2024.
As part of our ongoing commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at the Altoona Times have formally requested records under the Pennsylvania Right to Know Law, 65 §66.1 et seq., from the Fulton County Election Department.
Our request specifically pertains to the pre-election test reports for voting machines used in the county's elections. We are seeking this information in an electronic format, preferably as a PDF document. The details we have asked for include the date of testing, machine manufacturer details, machine model numbers, and their status - whether they passed or failed during testing.
As a media organization involved in gathering and reporting news to the public, access to such public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities.
