Introducing Japan Through the Arts, where we will explore the amazing country of Japan through a variety of programs throughout the month of February.

Japan Through the Arts: Pop CultureFebruary 6 at 5:30pmAges 5 & upExploring Anime, Manga, J-Pop, and kawaii (cute) culture. Design and decorate a slow-rise keychain squishy and go home with your very own authentic Japanese good luck charm!

Japan Through the Arts: Kabuki Theater and the Language of FansFebruary 9 at 5:30pmAges 3 & upPerformance art has always had a special place in the history of Japan. Join us as we explore two of these amazing traditions. Decorate and design a cat/fox style masks and fans to take home!

Japan Through the Arts: Kokeshi DollsFebruary 21 at 5:30pmAges 5 & upLearn more about these intriguing wooden dolls and enjoy a relaxing session of painting as you design and create your own kokeshi style doll and learn a little bit about their history.

Japan Through the Arts: Woodblock PrintingFebruary 23 at 5:30pmAges 5 & upExplore this ancient technique as we will be creating our own versions of woodblock printing using kid friendly materials following a brief informational presentation.

Japan Through the Arts: Children's DayFebruary 27 at 5:30pmAges 3 & upThis national holiday celebrates the happiness of all children. Join our fun festival by decorating traditional Carp (fish) flags to fly at your own home and learn more about this unique world holiday.
