Mill Creek borough issued the following announcement on Nov. 9.
Millcreek Township will receive sealed bids, labeled “MILLCREEK TOWNSHIP MUNICIPAL ASPHALT PLANT AND ASSOCIATED MATERIALS FOR SALE” until 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at the Municipal Building of the Millcreek Township Supervisors, c/o Sheryl Williams, Township Secretary, 3608 West 26th Street, Erie, PA 16506-2037. Bids will be publicly opened and read at 1:15 PM on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, in the Assembly Room of the Millcreek Township Municipal Building. Bids shall be submitted on the bid form provided by the Township. Bids shall be announced at the meeting of the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building, at which time action to award may be taken. The asphalt plant is being sold "as-is where-is" and consists of an AEDCO plant rated at 120 TPH, with an oil system, 20,000 gal. vertical electric oil tank, metering skid, calibration tank, baghouse, and Hauck burner. The associated materials are approximately 2500 ton of stone, which is comprised of 1250 ton of Ohio 9 and 1250 ton of 2B limestone. The winning bidder is responsible for removing the asphalt plant and associated materials from Township property. The bid form, sale agreement, additional information about the items available for sale, and any subsequent addendums that may be issued by the Township can be found on the Millcreek Township website at: www.millcreektownship.com.
