House Republican Leader Jesse Topper of Bedford/Fulton counties has officially commenced the new state legislative session by taking the oath of office in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

"I cannot thank the people of Bedford and Fulton counties enough for returning me to office," Topper expressed, acknowledging the trust placed in him by his constituents. He added, "Serving as the state representative for the place where I grew up and continue to call home is the greatest professional honor of my life."

Topper addressed his election as House Republican leader, noting that this session presents new opportunities. "I have always viewed service in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as more than just a job – it is a calling," he stated.

Despite changes in his role within the House, Topper reassured constituents of his continued commitment: "While my role in the House of Representatives has changed, my calling to represent our communities has not. I will continue to do my best to make sure the voices of you and our neighbors are heard loud and clear in Harrisburg."
