Senator Judy Ward has been appointed as the chair of the Senate Transportation Committee for the 2025-26 legislative session. This appointment was made by Senate President Pro Tempore Kim Ward, who highlighted the importance of transportation and infrastructure in Pennsylvania's economic prosperity.
"Transportation and infrastructure are a critical component of making Pennsylvania’s economy prosper by connecting communities, supporting businesses, ensuring safety and enhancing quality of life," stated Kim Ward. She expressed confidence in Judy Ward's capability to advance projects and policies that will strengthen the state's transportation network.
The Senate Transportation Committee is responsible for overseeing Pennsylvania’s multimodal transportation system, which includes roads, bridges, public transit, railways, airports, and ports. As chair, Judy Ward will lead efforts to develop legislation and policy aimed at ensuring safe and efficient transportation solutions across Pennsylvania.
