State funds amounting to nearly $245,000 have been allocated to Antis Township for the enhancement of the Bellwood-Antis Community Park, according to an announcement made by Rep. Jim Gregory (R-Blair/Huntingdon). The funding was secured through the Commonwealth Financing Authority’s Greenways, Trials, and Recreation Program, which supports projects related to the development, repair, and improvement of greenways, recreational trails, and parks.

Gregory emphasized the importance of investing in parks to ensure a safe environment for families and communities. He stated, "Investing in our Commonwealth’s parks is an essential part of providing a safe environment for our children, families, and communities to learn, grow and spend time together. By making these upgrades in Bellwood-Antis Community Park, we are providing a safer area for more recreational activities for people in our area."

Antis Township is set to benefit from the funding, which will be utilized for upgrading the community park. The improvements will contribute to creating a safer space for recreational activities for residents in the area.

The 80th Legislative District, represented by Rep. Jim Gregory, encompasses various townships and boroughs in Blair and Huntingdon Counties.
