Washington, DC – Congressman John Joyce, M.D. (PA-13), spoke on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives to address the closure of the Homer City Generating Station after fifty-four years of reliably utilizing Pennsylvania coal.
“What President Biden fails to realize is that technologies like wind-turbines and solar panels lack the fundamental capability to keep our lights on and our refrigerators cold,” said Congressman Joyce. “Eliminating coal will have disastrous consequences for families across the United States."
