HOLLIDAYSBURG – Low-interest loans awarded today for projects in Blair and Huntingdon counties will support important infrastructure improvements in the 80th District, according to Rep. Jim Gregory (R-Blair).

The Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) awarded a $4.3 million loan to DelGrosso Foods Inc., which is seeking to upgrade a pump station that ties into the Northern Blair County Regional Sewer Authority’s system. The 11-year loan carries an interest rate of 1 to 1.7 percent.

A $2.5 million loan awarded to the Huntingdon County Conservation District will allow the entity to install two buildings for manure stacking, add waterline and stormwater pipes, create an access lane, and more. The 20-year loan carries an interest rate of 1.74 to 2.17 percent.

"Infrastucture improvements like these are important because they will serve our children and grandchildren," emphasized Rep. Jim Gregory. "When I advocate for projects like these, it is with an eye on the future."

Established in 1988, PENNVEST provides capital funding for drinking water, sewer, stormwater, and non-point source pollution prevention projects that benefit the health, safety, environment, and economic development of the Commonwealth. The 20-year loans have interest rates ranging from 1.7 to 2.1 percent.
