State Rep. Jesse Topper | Pennsylvania 78th Legislative District
State Senator Kristin Phillips-Hill and Representative Mike Sturla, co-chairs of the Basic Education Funding Commission, have announced details for the commission's tenth hearing. The event is scheduled for Thursday, November 9, at 10 a.m. at Bedford High School Auditorium in Bedford.
The hearing will focus on testimonies discussing school district shared services, statewide population forecasts, and teachers' perspectives. Representative Jesse Topper will host the event.
The agenda begins with opening remarks at 10:00 a.m., followed by two panels. Panel One includes Aaron Chapin and Mark Price from PSEA, along with Sidney Clark from Shanksville-Stonycreek School District. Panel Two features Lynn Shedlock from the Pennsylvania Economy League, Dr. Kyle Kopko from The Center for Rural Pennsylvania, and Dr. Tom Butler from Intermediate Unit-8.
