Senator Judy Ward of Pennsylvania's 30th District has been appointed to several key committees for the upcoming 2025-26 legislative session. Among these, she will serve as chair of the Senate Transportation Committee, a position that allows her to influence policies affecting the state's infrastructure.

In her role as chair, Senator Ward will oversee Pennsylvania’s multimodal transportation infrastructure. The committee is tasked with addressing critical issues such as road and bridge maintenance, public transit expansion, and modernization of airports, ports, and railways. "Transportation is the lifeline of Pennsylvania’s economy and communities," said Ward. "As chair of the Senate Transportation Committee, I am committed to ensuring that our infrastructure meets the needs of our residents and businesses, both now and for generations to come."

Additionally, Ward will take on the role of vice chair for the Senate Aging and Youth Committee. In this capacity, she aims to continue advocating for senior citizens and younger Pennsylvanians. “Supporting the well-being of both our aging population and our youth has always been a priority for me," stated Ward.

Ward emphasized that her committee assignments cover a broad range of important issues crucial to Pennsylvania's success. “These committee assignments reflect a broad spectrum of issues that are vital to the success of our commonwealth,” she remarked.
