Sen. Judy Ward (R-30) has announced $1.25 million in state grant funding for transportation projects in Blair and Huntingdon Counties. The funds will be allocated for specific initiatives in Frankstown Township, Hollidaysburg Borough, and Franklin Township.

In Blair County, D Holdings will receive $500,000 to support the installation of rail lines and facilities as part of the DeGol Industrial Center Rail Expansion and Cross Dock Facility Project. Additionally, Hollidaysburg Borough is set to benefit from $400,000 in grant funding for the construction of the Canal Basin Park Gateway Connector Bridge.

Franklin Township in Huntingdon County has been awarded $350,000 to replace the Graysville Cemetery Road over Spruce Creek. Sen. Judy Ward highlighted the significance of these grants, stating, "This recent round of grant funding is a great example of how the Multimodal Transportation Fund can improve quality of life in rural areas. These projects are much deserved and will encourage economic development through maintaining a safe and dependable transportation network in these communities, all without placing an additional burden on their taxpayers."

The grants, facilitated by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA), aim to enhance economic development and ensure a reliable transportation system for residents. Sen. Judy Ward expressed her pride in advocating for projects that enhance transportation assets in the district.
