Fort Roberdeau Haunted Trail is Back!

On September 22nd, the Sun crossed the Earth's equator, and began its slow, 6-month march through the southern hemisphere. This is the autumnal equinox, or first official day of fall. Days grow gradually shorter and colder, and our life-giving friend doesn't crest the equator again until next spring.

But the gathering darkness also serves for some excellent and spooky astronomy, as we welcome back the full Fort Roberdeau Haunted Trail after a 2-year absence! Close to 100 AAHS Astronomy Club and Foreign Language Club students will lurk along the nature trail surrounding the Fort grounds, waiting to give you and your guests a scare you'll never forget! For younger visitors and their parents, the evening will kick off with the 3rd Annual Denny Ivory Memorial Trick-or-Treat Night inside the Fort, thanks to the generosity of our wonderful friends at Blair Candy of Altoona!

Our friends Tom Kasner and the Starlight Astronomy Club are ready to entertain (surviving) Haunted Trail guests at the Mt. Lion Observatory, as our beautiful telescopes peer into the skies of early fall! With tricks, treats, and bumpin' Halloween beats courtesy of our friends at Boomerang Sound, it's a night for everyone.

And did we mention the Fort combating inflation? ***We welcome a return of 2017 pricing, as all guests are once again only $10.00/carload, with $5.00 individual tickets for anyone interested in braving the trail solo!!!

On Saturday, October 8th, the only place to be is Fort Roberdeau's Haunted Trail!
