Altoona Area Junior High School recently issued the following announcement.
Altoona Area School District Family Weekend at the “Curve”
Your family is invited to join the AASD at the Altoona Curve Baseball games on the weekend of May 13-15. Friday night 6pm will feature a post-game firework show, Saturday 4pm will be a reverse Phil bobblehead giveaway to the first 1,000 people and Sunday 1pm game will be post game kids run the bases. All AASD fans will sit together in the grandstand section of the stadium, at an inexpensive price of $7.00 per person. Your family has the option to purchase dinner or snacks at any of the Curve’s concession stands at reasonable rates. No outside food or drinks are permitted in the stadium. The Altoona Area School District will be recognized on the welcome board, and one of our students will be selected to throw out the first pitch for each game.
This student will be chosen by a random drawing at Peoples Natural Gas Field from all reservations received on or before Wednesday, May 11th. Absolutely no reservations will be accepted after Thursday, May 12th. Please complete the form below, attach your check payable to Altoona Curve and mail back to the Altoona Curve, 1000 Park Ave, Altoona, PA 16602 with the notation “Attn: Nathan Bowen-Altoona Area SD Family Day” marked on the envelope. Remember to get your reservations in on or before Wednesday, May 11th so that your child’s name may be entered in the firstpitch drawing. Again, no reservations will be accepted after Thursday, May 12th. Tickets will be available for pick up at the ALTOONA CURVE BOX OFFICE, please say Altoona Area School District and your Child’s Last Name.
