91 percent of applicants to Pennsylvania State University-Penn State Altoona were admitted for fall 2018

At Pennsylvania State University-Penn State Altoona, 95 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 55 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Altoona enrolled 3,244 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 3.5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

77 percent of undergraduates are residents of Pennsylvania, and 16 percent are residents of other states. 7 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (75 percent) and Black or African American (6 percent).

The school admitted 91 percent of the 4,486 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 28 percent enrolled.
