Senator Judy Ward and Representative Rich Irvin have announced the approval of a grant from the Multimodal Transportation Fund aimed at improving infrastructure in Huntingdon County. Hopewell Township is set to receive $228,159 for enhancements along Lower Ridge Road. These improvements are expected to boost road conditions and safety for both residents and travelers.

Senator Ward expressed her satisfaction with the investment, stating, "I am pleased to see this investment in our community’s infrastructure. By improving road safety and connectivity, we are not only enhancing the quality of life for residents but also supporting economic growth and opportunity in the region."

Representative Irvin emphasized the importance of this funding, noting, "This roadway is vital for the many local and out-of-town visitors coming to Lake Raystown, which is a huge economic generator for the region."

The Multimodal Transportation Fund aims to support projects that foster economic development while ensuring safe transportation systems across Pennsylvania. The Commonwealth Financing Authority awarded this grant through its fund dedicated to maintaining reliable transportation infrastructure for state residents.
