We could not have said this any better. Thank you to Altoona Police Department - Altoona, PA for their leadership and assistance today along with AASD Police Services and all other emergency service agencies who responded. Sgt. Plummer said it so well when he said, "we have children who attend Altoona schools, we live in this community and we care about what happens here." We are blessed by those who live and serve in this community. If you see any of these folks in uniform be sure to say thank you. They came without hesitation!
So tonight, turn off the TV, put social media aside and spend some time with your family, your children. Let them know they are loved.
If they need a some extra support, please let their teacher, principal or school counselor know. We will have supports in place that can help. Just let us know.
