Rep. Rich Irvin announced on Mar. 16 that area senior citizens are invited to attend the 2026 Senior Expo, which will take place on Thursday, April 16, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Smithfield Fire Hall.

The event aims to connect seniors with local, state, and federal agencies and organizations that provide information about programs and services available to them. Attendees will also have the chance to win raffle prizes during the expo.

“This is always a fun and informative event,” Irvin said. “This year, we will have live music courtesy of the ‘Make Mine Country’ band. There will also be a food truck on-site, Nana’s Quack Shack, with some delicious food options. I look forward to catching up with those who attend each year, as well as meeting new folks.”

The expo is co-sponsored by several organizations including the Huntingdon-Bedford-Fulton Area Agency on Aging, Penn Highlands Healthcare, Graystone Manor, Community State Bank, and Presbyterian Senior Living at Westminster Woods.

For more information or directions to the event, individuals can contact Irvin’s offices in Huntingdon at 814-644-2996 or Shippensburg at 717-532-1707.
