On Wednesday, Feb. 19, former Altoona Area High School standout Evan Alwine’s current college team, the FIU Golden Panthers, won 10-0 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Bethune–Cookman Wildcats.

The game took place at Jackie Robinson Ballpark. This was their first matchup against the Wildcats this season.

The Golden Panthers’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 21 at 6:30 p.m. at FIU Baseball Stadium against Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hens.
